Sjøparken Agnes is one of Norway's boldest and most aesthetic development projects. In what has been described as the "Venice of Norway", Sjøparken is building a humanistic, exclusive and intimate urban area in a modern Mediterranean style, where well-being, cultural experience and quality of life are at the center.
On the 250-acre waterfront site around the old Agnes factories, new homes are being developed with site-appropriate and colorful architecture, islands and idyllic, historic canals. Surrounded by lush forest and hiking trails to the north, with Stavern, rocky cliffs and beaches in the immediate vicinity, Sjøparken, in collaboration with Nerdrum Museum, aims to become both a destination for national and international tourism, and a place to live and work.
In parallel with this, the old factory buildings will be put back into use, with varied cultural and dining options that contribute to the good village life. The area already has countless studios, exciting small businesses and a myriad of activities. Collaboration with small, local players is central to the goal of an organic and authentic development of the cultural city of Sjøparken.
