Portrait course with Helene Knoop

Helene Knoop holds a one-day workshop on portrait painting at the Nerdrum Museum.
We will spend most of the time painting from the live model. Helene Knoop will demonstrate how to start a portrait and with Knoop's own way of using light, painting skin, and how to work with a model, the participants get a good basis for how to build up a portrait.
Each participant receives individual guidance. Knoop paints with oil paint on canvas or board, but it is also possible to paint with the paint you otherwise use. During the day we work with sketching, lighting, composition, color theory and not least how to paint skin tones and recreate the model in front of you on a canvas.

The course is from 10.00-16.00. We will take a break at around 13.00. Food and drink can be brought with you or bought in Café Havfuglen. A list of materials is available upon registration for the course.
